Celebrating Autism Awareness Day – April 2nd
April 2nd marks a day close to our hearts — World Autism Awareness Day. This year, we came together as a community to show our support, spread understanding, and celebrate the incredible individuals on the autism spectrum.
To bring awareness in a vibrant and visible way, we wore red, blue, and yellow — the colors representing the diversity and beauty of the autism community. These bright hues remind us of the joy, uniqueness, and strength of every individual with autism. They also spark conversation, which is exactly what awareness is all about.
One of the most meaningful parts of our day was creating a pinwheel garden. Each spinning pinwheel stood as a tribute to the 1 in 36 children diagnosed with autism. As the wind caught them and set them in motion, they became a colorful symbol of movement, hope, and the ever-growing efforts to build an inclusive world.
Autism is not a one-size-fits-all diagnosis. It’s a spectrum that includes different strengths, challenges, and ways of seeing the world. By coming together on
word, thank you for being part of a day that means so much. Awareness is just the beginning. Understanding, acceptance, and inclusion — that’s where the real change happens. Let’s keep the conversation going — today and every day. Days like April 2nd, we help break down barriers, educate others, and most importantly — show our support for the children and families walking this journey every day.
